Challenging Cadwell Park Round For Chris Taylor

Chris Taylor continued his front running form in the latest round of the BSB Motostar championship at Cadwell Park, moving up the overall standings thanks to a hard fought seventh place on Saturday aboard his Microlise Cresswell Racing Mahindra.

Arriving at arguably the most spectacular circuit on the British Championship calendar after a run of impressive results the #97 rider had an up and down opening day after a small crash in FP1 limited his track time.

Saturday’s qualifying saw a big step forward in terms of outright pace with Chris eventually qualifying on the second row in sixth ahead of the twelve lap race.

A strong start followed by impressive pace in the first half of the race enabled Taylor to pull away from the pack and after running fifth he eventually crossed the line in seventh after the race was cut short following a multi rider crash.

Unfortunately Chris was unable to add to his points tally in Sunday’s race after a crash in the early stages put him out of contention.

Despite yesterday’s no score he has moved up in the overall championship standings and is looking forward to his ‘home’ race at Silverstone in three weeks time.

Chris Taylor:
“Race one was good, and I was able to run a consistent pace although the feeling wasn’t as good as in qualifying. I made a good start and was up to fifth but had to settle for seventh which was a little disappointing but after missing most of FP1 after being takenn out it was good points and I moved up in the overall standings. I felt good before the race on Sunday but just had no grip from the start. I came out of the chicane and the back just came round, not even a highside, just literally spun round. I am taking the positives and looking ahead to Silverstone in a couple of weeks which is my home race, and I cannot wait!”
